About AWS re:Inforce

This is the first Amazon Web Services (AWS) conference dedicated to cloud security. AWS is expecting more than 8,000 attendees and calls the event a “learning conference for builders.”

In addition to the trade show, aka Security Learning Hub, the AWS re:Inforce conference will feature keynote speaker Steve Schmidt, Vice President and CIO for AWS, hundreds of sessions, and plenty of opportunities to connect with cloud security experts.

Conference Highlights

Breakout Sessions

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about AWS security advancements and solutions. Topics include identity and access management, detective controls, infrastructure security, data protection, incident response, governance, risk, and compliance.

More than 300 breakout sessions will be held at the intermediate, advanced and expert levels. Sessions include chalk talks, workshops, and builder sessions to for everyone from business-level decision makers to chief information security officers (CISOs).

Security Learning Hub

The Security Learning Hub includes the sold-out exhibit area, along with the opportunity to connect with AWS partners and experts. AWS engineers will be on hand to answer your questions.

Vivi Demo Theater

Thirty-minute demos will be held with real-life applications on how to be successful on AWS.

Jam Lounge

The Jam Lounge will offer challenges to help you learn new skills and practice skills you already have against simulated security incidents. The challenges are self-paced and can be done during breaks, lunch time or overnight.

AWS Ask the Experts

AWS experts will answer your questions on identity and access management, infrastructure security, detective controls, data protection & privacy, incident response and governance, and risk & compliance (GRC).

Builders Fair

Get hands on experience by visiting the Builders Fair, where you can learn from AWS experts and customers, covering various topics across AWS Security. You can how projects were made, and how to implement them yourself. You’ll also have the opportunity to talk to the experts who built the projects, and diagram and problem-solve with them.

AWS Community Developer Lounge

The Dev Lounge offers a place to relax, recharge, and connect with like-minded developers and cloud security professionals. Learn about local networking events, or listen to 30-minute, community-led Dev Chat presentations.

Keynote

Stephen Schmidt, Chief Information Security Officer, AWS, will give a keynote at 9:30 AM on June 25. You will hear about how AWS manages security at scale, from customers in regulated industries about their experiences with security, compliance, identity, and governance in the cloud.

Schmidt will also cover topics like the AWS security road map, and tactical considerations and feature sets for specific AWS services such as AWS WAF, AWS Firewall Manager, AWS Ground Station, AWS Control Tower, Amazon GuardDuty and more.

Closing Reception

closing reception will be held June 26 from 6 to 9 PM with games, live music and opportunities to connect with AWS Partners and other attendees from the conference.
