“John has a deep understanding of the needs facing today’s customers in the cloud and managed security services market,” said Delta Risk CEO Scott Kaine. “We look forward to John leading our product strategy as we build out our services and cloud security capabilities.”

Prior to Delta Risk, John was a senior executive at CA Technologies for 13 years, most recently as Vice President, Portfolio Strategy for the company’s Worldwide Security business. He managed the lifecycle of several product lines with responsibility for innovative new development and strategic acquisitions. Prior to CA, John founded and managed a venture funded SaaS company providing performance monitoring for cloud applications. Earlier, he managed Solutions Engineering and Security teams at Internet services provider UUNET/WorldCom and consulting firm Ernst & Young, LLC.

“John is well-known in the security industry for his leadership and business expertise,” said Delta Risk board member David Leach. “With more organizations than ever migrating their operations to the cloud, his experience will be a welcome addition for Delta Risk and its clients.”

According to the 2017 Cloud Security Spotlight, published by Crowd Research Partners in coordination with the LinkedIn Information Security Group, 90 percent of organizations are in some stage of cloud adoption, and nearly half are already operating in a live cloud environment. Security concerns still top the list of barriers to cloud adoption, however. Delta Risk can serve as an extension to security teams to assess their current cloud security program and controls and develop cloud security programs. Through the Delta Risk ActiveCAM solution, organizations can also monitor and manage who is accessing cloud applications.
