Vice President, Cyber Resiliency Services
Michael Warren is Vice President of Cyber Resiliency Services for Delta Risk. Mike has more than years of experience in the cyber security domain providing a threat perspective, operational (red team) assessments, enterprise vulnerability assessments (blue team), and training in defensive and offensive network operations. He has more than 20 years of experience in information technology arena, and a background in programming, network architectures, and network security.
At Delta Risk, Mike provides strategic advice, thought leadership, and technical expertise to U.S. and international clients in government, corporations, and organizations. This includes insights and expertise in training and assessments in the development of cyber resiliency. Mike has led projects for the Department of Homeland Security and Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute in developing and executing Cyber Security Capability Validations of Federal Agency’s in support of the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) Trusted Internet Connection initiative. Mike has also overseen the on-aircraft assessment of three separate airframe’s onboard networks on behalf of the FAA. He also managed the development and delivery of cyber security commercial certification courses on behalf of the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) initiative to provide DoD members on demand training through the use of CMU SEI’s Vitrual Training Environment. Mike was a lead scenario developer in drafting the overarching scenario and providing Federal Agencies template injects in support of FEMA’s National Level Exercise series of exercises.
Prior to Delta Risk, Michael Warren was an active duty Air Force Communications and Information Engineer Officer. His duties spanned from commanding crews at a Network Operations Security Center, being the Weapons and Tactics Officer of an Information Warfare Aggressor Squadron and leading and managing the Air Forces only Operational Test and Evaluation Network Range. He is currently a Cyber Operations Officer in the Texas Air National Guard. He has assisted active duty units in progressing the tactics improvement process for cyber warfare, and now leads his flight in supporting active duty in the execution of operational test and evaluation of tomorrow’s cyber capabilities.
His academic background includes a BS in Electronic Engineering Technology, and a MS in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional – Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP-ISSEP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Project+ and Security+ certified.
