Managing Consultant – MBA, PCI QSA, MCSE, Security+
Daniel Reardon is a Managing Consultant for Delta Risk, providing cyber security and IT Risk and Compliance consulting services. Dan has more than 15 years of experience in information technology (IT) and IT security, along with a hands-on engineering background. He has extensive experience in systems administration; application, system and network troubleshooting; IT project management; security engineering and implementation; data security and modeling; desktop and server vulnerability and patch management; and Windows Infrastructure management and support.
Prior to joining Delta Risk, Dan was a Senior Manager at Protiviti, where he consulted on various cyber security frameworks (ISO 27002, NIST, SANS, HIPAA) and performed IT risk assessments in highly regulated industries. He is also a Payment Card Industry (PCI) qualified security assessor (QSA), and has performed many PCI Desired Security Standard (DSS) audits.
Prior to Protiviti, Dan was a senior infrastructure and security engineer for General Dynamics Information Technology. He supported the federal DOD’s Defense Logistics’ Agency, DLA, and was a core member of DLA’s level-3 support Division. He has widespread experience reviewing system vulnerability reports and implementing system-wide changes as required by the federal government to mitigate IT and security risks.
He began his career at Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Computer Systems Analyst, where he specialized as a Windows system administrator for Enterprise Information Systems division. He also served as a project engineer for several ongoing projects on behalf of various classified programs. He supported these programs by ensuring all security policies and procedures were intact within the systems’ and network infrastructure.
Dan has both technical and IT security certifications: PCI QSA; Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, MCSE and MCTS-Win7. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University (MBA, Executive Master’s in Business Administration) and Providence College (B.S., Management Information Systems). He is an active member of Philadelphia InfraGard and ISACA.
